Matthew Hosford

Matt is a seasoned financial professional with over four decades of industry experience including over three decades in Asia. He serves as an Independent non-executive director of the Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank), a publicly traded bank in Vietnam.  He also advises private and multilateral lenders in the Asia region. Matt was a Financial Institutions Industry Specialist in the Investment Division of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) where he led the due diligence on over 100 transactions across 18 countries.  He was with Banco Santander for twenty years, serving as the Asia-Pacific Chief Risk Officer from 2007 to 2017. This role included representing Santander on the boards of two consumer lending companies in China. Matt is the Am-Cham Hong Kong China Business Committee co-chair.  He also chairs the Board of Love21, a Hong Kong based NGO that works with the Down syndrome and autistic communities in Hong Kong.
